Slack meets time tracking.

Description

I’m running a javascript software development company with 30 ppl on the board. We’ve tested many tools for the last 3 years, but in the end, we’ve to build something internally that fits our needs and is simple. The problem is that you have many different people inside your organization and you need a few different interfaces. We have distinguished people who: * Track every hour each day and switch between many tasks * Track every hour each day and switch between the same 3–4 task for the whole month * Track on a weekly basis and switch between many tasks * Track on a weekly basis and switch between the same 3–4 task for the whole month Some other pains we got were: * Adding/Editing bulk tasks (holidays, sick leave for a few days) * Lack of open API * To robust interfaces - we need something simple like Slack * Wasted time on adding/starting/editing the task - we need one line like in Mac Terminal to do all the stuff (no need of clicking) We have an internal tool for time tracking with the functionality you might need. One of the interfaces of the app (because it has an open API and we developed a few interfaces) is a mix of to-do list and time tracking system. Or you can work on the data in Google Sheets. This is the way that I prefer to use because I can create custom reports, filter/search, automate with google script data to help me create invoices. If you would like to try it, just drop me a line hello@runze.it or http://beta.runze.it/
