Cop Stop Coach

Cop Stop Coach (CSC) is an innovative solution that utilizes cutting edge technology to assist in the effort to unite citizens and the police in our communities. The app is comprised of five main attributes: Awareness – As soon as a user is stopped by the police, they can quickly click a button which sends an automated alert to a pre-defined list of contacts that the user has previously configured in Cop Stop Coach. The automated message informs the contacts that the user has been stopped and includes information about where the user was stopped with an accompanied google map with their exact location. Accountability – The app allows citizens to record their interactions with police if they feel the need to. The video is then automatically uploaded to the cloud and is accessible by the user and their pre-defined list of CSC contacts for immediate viewing or viewing in the future. Transparency - Cop Stop Coach gives users the ability to rate the stop and the overall experience that they had with the police on a 5-star scale. They also have the option to give a brief explanation on their experience with the officer. The officer(s) from the experience will also have the option to add comments to the recorded stop, if they deem necessary. Education – Users of the app can stay informed on the laws that deal directly with issues related to being stopped by the police. The information is in a F.A.Q style and allow a user to review common questions and answers at their leisure. Community – The information collected by CSC can be utilized and analyzed by the community and police to aid in find ways to improve community / police relations. ​
