Taxhub is a virtual, personal tax preparation brand that recreates the face-to-face tax preparation experience. Customers are driven to the site. On the site they answer a few questions about their life situation similar to the questions they are familiar with answering on well-known tax prep websites. In mere seconds they are assigned a pricing plan ranging from $85 to $135. They are prompted to create an account. This takes users to a dashboard that allows them to upload documents by either traditional upload method or taking a picture of their tax documents and texting them on a smart phone, or emailing them. They then easily schedule an appointment for a chat with a CPA, right on the site. Once the return is completed they are sent an email that prompts them to verify their identity through a method recently approved by the IRS that utilizes knowledge-based identification. This software accesses information in their credit history securely and directly from the credit bureaus, to verify their identity.
