Hedgehog is a portfolio manager for crypto currencies that allows you to trade on any exchange, track all your wallets, and learn about cryptocurrency. Our team includes former members of the founding team at Acorns, the former CSO of Hehmeyer (Chicago Hedge Fund), and the previous Chief of Staff at Kraken. OVERVIEW Investing is complicated, crypto is complicated, and investing in crypto can be chaos. At Hedgehog, we want to make investing in cryptocurrencies simple. Cryptocurrency allows us to bring complicated financial tools to the everyday user, and we strive to educate, guide, and deliver on that ideal every day. Features include: | Trading | Connect to over 130+ supported exchanges, and trade any asset, anywhere, any time. | Best Price Transactions | We’re working with Hopscotch to offer best possible pricing for any trade. Using their proprietary algorithms, we can often offer a 2% discount to the nearest exchange price. This feature is currently in-development. | Wallet Tracking | Manage addresses, transactions, and balances for over 550 wallets & automatically sync your balances form 1000+ chains and 133 exchanges | Portfolio Management | Build your portfolio and group assets into customizable stacks. Within each stack, you can set strategies that apply target weights to your assets based on marketcap, active users, or transactions. | Research | Extensive information for 2000+ crypto currencies including overviews, films, teams, partners, news, and historical data. USERS In 2020, we spent almost nothing on advertising, 5.5k people used the site, and $2.4 million dollars worth of assets are being managed. Our users are typically young / tech savy crypto traders who check prices everyday, have multiple exchange accounts, and for half of them crypto was their first investment. BUSINESS MODEL Right now we can earn revenue based purely on a subscription fee for our Trading Product. We have limited regulatory risk here, since users are connecting to their own accounts on other exchanges and Hedgehog is simply acting as a UI layer. We also want to register as an investment advisor and a broker-dealer, leading to faster onboarding, a broader range of customers, and allowing us to charge additional wrap fees and transaction fees for new products. That being said, neither registration is necessary for us to run a profitable business. They merely help us diversify our revenue streams and dramatically increase our margins.
