Icebr8k: Polls, Friends, Dates

Here is a quick backstory behind why we created this social polling app. Ever since I graduated college and entered this wild world as a young adult, I have found making friends can be an extremely difficult task. It made me wonder what the secret sauce is to forming a strong friendship. By reflecting on all of the friends I've made in the past, I've come to the conclusion that secret sauces are common interests, which is the backbone of the Icebr8k app. By posting polls and answering other people's polls, users are subconsciously sharing their personal preferences on certain subjects. Imagine one day, you are looking for a hiking buddy. You saw someone named Michael on Icebr8k, who posted a poll asking 'Do you like hiking?' You obviously voted YES, and then you found out he voted YES as well. After checking out his profile, he also likes to drink beer, listen to pop music, and is only 5 miles away. Hooray, you just found your hiking buddy. Once you meet in person, you can skip the awkward small talk that 99% of people hate, and talk about things you are both interested in. Making friends can't be easier than that!
