STORY Sunshine was created by a Korean engineer, Nicole Kim, to simply share photos and videos with her family. At the time, there was no product that could bridge the gap between Nicole's own mother - who wanted a simple sharing app, and Nicole's own daughter - who was more technologically savvy. So Nicole decided to create the product herself, with the goal that her app be the fastest, safest, and easiest to use - for anyone. A former Samsung engineer, Nicole founded Sunshine after joining 500 Startups for Batch 12 in early 2015. After being mentioned in reputable sources like New York Times, Inc., and TechWatch, Sunshine began gaining traction across multiple platforms. Now spanning 19 employees, with an office in Korea and the USA, Sunshine is aiming to become THE method of file sharing in 2016.
